𝙄𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙞𝙙𝙨𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙬𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙬𝙖𝙧, 𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙧 𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙣𝙨... Decades of wars and unrest have clawed at the sides of Pyrrhia's dragons for as long as they can remember, and the tales of true peace and dragonets of prophecy are simply whispers of the past. Shrike has never been regarded by his tribe as a real SkyWing. His mother fell ill and passed away when he was a dragonet, and his father, a royal SeaWing, was executed by his dictatorial queen as soon as it was found out that he'd had an affair with a common SkyWing. Still, Shrike remains tethered to the Queen and his tribe. Years of lost wars, unfulfilled treaties, and an excessively lavish lifestyle lived by their ruler, Queen Markhor, have left the SkyWing tribe impoverished and starving, and Shrike, the princess's personal bodyguard, has witnessed the consequences of the Queen's ignorance firsthand. A diplomacy meeting with the SeaWings gone wrong erupts in yet another bloody war, and Shrike is swept up in battle before finding himself caught in between the jaws of the political turmoil that seem to be tearing his tribe apart from the inside out. To make matters worse, a warning delivered years before by the continentally renowned prophet, Hereafter, is unraveling before Shrike's eyes, and its exhortations seem like an echo chamber awfully reminiscent of his own life. That coupled with a newfound power in his claws leaves him spiraling and wondering one question: could 𝘩𝘦 be the terror of talons? ✦ Please read the introductory pages! They will be EXTREMELY informative for understanding the basics of Pyrrhia's situation and the timeline leading up to this story. Consider leaving a vote if you enjoy this story! Constructive criticism and other comments are always welcome.

BOOK THREE IN THE TIMELINE SERIES "Anything about the future can be changed," he said. "Even that. I could enchant the mountain to stay up if I wanted to. We can make the future turn out however we like." -Legends: Darkstalker, pg. 353 Darkstalker and Clearsight just wanted a chance at starting over. But they didn't realize how hard it was, to hold a dying kingdom together by a thread. And with the army scattered across the continent, the treasury empty, the palace burnt, and half their citizens dead, things are starting to feel impossible. Shadowhunter just wanted to be in control. To drown out her problems in a rush of adrenaline, and the spark of red-hot magic on her claws. But she's got nothing left to burn anymore, and a whole wide-open sky of possibilities. Eclipse doesn't know what comes next. She's spent her whole life letting other dragons decide how she feels, what she thinks, making her every decision for her. But she's starting to think that maybe there's more to life than constant submission. Way isn't sure who he is. A cool, coldhearted aristocrat? A starry-eyed theatre nerd? Or just a really sad, scared dragonet? He looks out over the damage he's caused, the bridges burned and trust betrayed, and struggles to change his ways. Can these dragons heal the wounds of the past--or do some things never change? UPDATES WEEKLY (usually Saturday-Monday)

(Special thanks to @Nightmare_Z14 for making the legends book for my arch. Make sure to check it out!) DISCLAIMER**** I DO NOT OWN WINGS OF FIRE! IT IS PROPERTY OF SCHOLASTIC AND Tui T Sutherland I SUGGEST THAT YOU READ AT LEAST THE FIRST 10 BOOKS OF THE MAIN SERIES TO UNDERSTAND THIS... Don't tell a soul... Peacemaker was never deemed ordinary compared to most other dragonets. Still, one incident is all it took for him to fall down a rabbit hole of deception, guilt, memories, and an unexpected friend. Once Peacemaker gets an invitation to Jade Mountain Academy to get away from everything behind in the rainforest, he accepts. But as Peacemaker continues forward despite the incident, he soon is wrapped up in the results of the past and new problems in the future, where Peacemaker is forced to use his knowledge, intelligence, and lying capabilities to solve them. However, as fate keeps pressuring him in other directions, should he trust the visions leading him down a certain path, or can he find a way to break free from the chains? Is he able to trust in his new friends, or how far is he willing to continue alone until he cracks? A note from the Author: This is a Wings of Fire alternate universe and takes place after the events of Book 15 by years; none of these characters are mine(besides a few made-up dragons...I guess) and they belong to Tui Sutherland. Additional Note: This story takes place years after, meaning these characters are significantly older than they are currently in the canon. They have not met up in the canon as well. Some romantic relationships appear in the story that you may or may not like, so be warned. If you don't like it, then don't read it. Additionally, some chapters feature artwork, particularly recent ones, and some drawings were created previously, while others were produced more recently. If you don't like the artwork, then I recommend going to Ao3, which is the whole story until the most recent chapter with zero artwork. Now with this in mind, enjoy reading.

No one really paid much attention to Shadowscale, after all, what is a prince good for anyways? He couldn't become ruler of the RainWings and NightWings, that curse would go to his younger sister, Princess Firefly. He knew his mother cared for him, but Queen Glory was always busy. When she wasn't seeing her subjects, she was preparing Firefly to become Queen one day. He always tried to make himself look as small and insignificant as possible, he wanted to be ordinary. After all, he hasn't been since his birth. Born under the light of two and a half moons, he had received the ancient NightWing powers of legends, learning to harness them in secret under the watchful eyes of Moonwatcher, who shares similar abilities. However, his are different. He can read minds normally. As for prophecy, he could only see three possible futures. One was good, the other 2 were awful... In order to prevent the bad ones, he must become something he never thought he'd ever become. *** "Dad?" Shadowscale's voice called out, gently and silently like the wind. The NightWing's ears perked up as he turned his head towards his son. "Oh, Shadow, what are you doing at this hour? Aren't you supposed to be sleeping?" "Don't NightWings sleep during the day now?" Shadowscale retorted causing Deathbringer to bark out a laugh. "Touche my son! But still, what do you need?" His small talons where shaking as the flashes of fire and death flashed before his eyes, as if reminding him why he needed to do this. Why he needed to ask this. Because if he didn't... it could possibly be the end of Pyrriah. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. When he opened them again, his amber eyes where full of determination. "Teach me how to become an assassin." WoF doesn't belong to me! Tui. T. Sutherland owns it. I only own the plot and some Characters!
