Catra is a spy, Adora is a really high ranking member of the rebellion. In this world there is no magic left. People are experimented on until they either gain miraculous abilities and traits or die. The lucky ones die, and the unlucky ones are out to work by the Horde Empire. Catra is tasked with infiltrating the rebellion along with Double Trouble. _____ It's a modern au I guess? I just had a thought and said, "Wow this would be fun" so here we are. Catra is still a magicat (magicat is what Catra is. It's the species she is classified as from the original show) and Adora can still sorta turn into she ra. It's more like she just becomes really strong and stuff. Anyways, yep.

A terrible decision earns Catra an even worse punishment. Left to suffer the consequences, Catra finds herself facing one burning question: do you get to have a happy ending when you're the bad guy? AUTHOR'S NOTE: In universe, this story would take place somewhere between episodes 5 & 6 of season 2. Catra is in a foster home situation, while Adora lives with Glimmer and her family...though its also a foster home situation (ish) Although this is story takes place in a world like much more like ours, Catra is still a cat and Glimmer is still sparkly. In the end, it is you and your imagination that tell you what they look like, but for the sake of making the most sense, this is probably the easiest. Only there are no magic or royalty aspects. In short, everyone looks similar to the show, just in different outfits. This may not seem that different from the hundreds of incredible stories out there, but hopefully I'll be able to give you some unexpected twists, who knows. Once Catra started to grow distant from Adora they tip-toed around each other and eventually just decided to stay best friends. Trauma strikes Catra's family soon after causing a divide in the girls relationship. It's a new year at Bright Moon Academy, a large fancy Etherian K-12 boarding school. Last year Angella the headmistress of BMA made a deal with Hordak, the headmaster of Fright Zone Academy to transfer some students to her school for the upcoming year to get a better education since she heard that it wasn't very good there. A couple new students were now attending this large fancy academy where things were bound to go wrong... This is a HS AU, there is no magic and Catra is not a cat.
