Diana Gilmore and Priscilla Denbrough, navigate their way through school and all the weird situations and gossip of the town. A girl, named Lily Bainbridge, another close friend, who sometimes talks to them because of Marge, decides to share something crazy with the two. And that only made them closer. Because somewhere in the sewers of Derry, lives a clown. Who isn't actually a clown, it terrorises the town and the people in it. It terrifies the kids and adults in the town. On the surface, Gwen appears confident, flawless, and untouchable - the perfect teenager in a small town. But beneath her neatly pressed skirts, pastel blouses and carefully styled hair lies a deeply anxious, self-conscious girl who worries constantly about her reputation, social standing and the impressions she leaves on others. Gwen's carefully maintained world begins to crack when she witnesses something disturbing in Derry, a subtle but chilling hint of the sinister presence lurking beneath the town's surface. unlike her 'friends' the patty cakes, who laughed it off and ignored the unsettling signs, gwen notices the danger. Her curiosity to find out what's happening in her town leads her to a different group of kids: Lilly, Teddy, Ronnie, Phil and Susie. Although she was hesitant at first, Gwen gradually distances herself from the shallow girls she once saw as her friends. her natural kindness and courage allowed her to form a genuine bond with the new group, who all recognise the brave and loving person she is beneath her polished exterior.
