The characters we met in subsequent volumes of Alice Oseman's best-selling Heartstopper comic book series return in a new genre. Nick and Charlie is a novella describing the crisis moment for every school relationship: the one when lovers go their separate ways. The boys have been together for two years and spend almost every free moment together, but the end of the school year comes and for Nick it means a complete farewell to school. The boy is excited about the prospect of going to university, but this new stage in his life means moving out and breaking up with Charlie. The prose form allows us to get to know Nick and Charlie even better - more mature, richer in many experiences, but still in love with each other. This time, the illustrations take a backseat, and the author takes a closer look at what is going on in the characters' heads.
