Lily Freeman has just been crushed. Her boyfriend cheated on her and dumped her and now she feels betrayed. And when she blows over the situation she reveals a horrible secret as does her ex, Mark. After that, Lily starts seeing things and dark shadows. And when she tries to get away and escape all the weirdness something happens; two new guys jump into her life, Leo and Ian. They seem to know her but she doesn't know them. After she is kidnapped things get worse and one thing leads to the next. Soon enough Lily discovers that there is a world that's been hidden from her and her mother is no ordinary person. She also has to choose between Leo and Ian and who knows what will happen. But the most shocking secret is yet to come. It is a secret that Lily refuses to believe; Lily isn't human.
