"Are you my boyfriend?" I asked, looking straight into his eyes. His grip on my wrist loosened. Translation: who are you to question me? I took another shot. But this boy-he literally snatched my drink and downed it himself. "You can share it with your friend, right?" He flashed his sweetest smile. I wasn't falling for it. "We aren't friends anymore," I muttered, holding my head as dizziness took over. I barely heard him instruct the bartender to stop serving me drinks before everything started spinning. The next thing I knew, I had collapsed into something warm and solid. When I forced my eyes open, I found myself in his arms. ________________________________ "Do you really want me to?" Her breath hitched, but she didn't pull away. Her fingers curled tighter against my shoulders, as if grounding herself. I watched her, my own restraint hanging by a thread. The way her lips parted, the way her chest rose and fell unevenly-I could feel the war waging inside her. I should've stepped back, given her space. But I couldn't. Not when she was looking at me like that. She didn't answer, but her silence spoke louder than words. Slowly, I ran my thumb over her cheek, tracing the dampness left by her tears. So fragile, yet so intoxicating. "Tell me to stop, darling," I murmured, my lips barely an inch from hers. Her eyes flickered to my mouth, and that was all it took. --- she fell first✨

"Get out," I whispered again, looking into his deep brown eyes. His brows furrowed. "I can't leave you in this condition." A lone tear slipped from my eye. "You're the only person responsible for this condition." He swallowed hard and lay down beside me. "I said-" I tried to get up, but he grabbed my wrist and pulled me into his embrace again. His arms wrapped tightly around me. I stopped struggling. His warmth, his scent... after four years, I finally felt at peace. My face was buried in his chest. "Why aren't you leaving me?" I whispered. He looked down, his gaze intense. "Because I can't," he admitted. "I'm not able to." I bit my lip, my heart aching. ___________________________________ "You look beautiful," I said, tucking a loose strand of her hair behind her ear. "Come up with something new. Half of your guests already used that line," she muttered. I stared into her kohl-lined eyes. "Is that so?" She hummed in response. "Then how about this-" I leaned close to her ear. "You look like mine," I whispered before pressing a soft kiss against her earlobe. She shuddered. I was about to trail kisses down her neck when she whispered, "I'm sleepy." I chuckled and pulled back. She strolled toward the staircase, taking slow steps, struggling with her four-inch pencil heels and the heavy saree. Will she ask for my help? Nope. I sighed and walked toward her. --- GRUMPY × SUNSHINE

"Sshhhhh....." he hushed and pinned us against the wall leaving no space between us. I held onto his biceps with my hand in reflex. He shook his head lightly signalling me not to scream. But did not remove his palm, awaiting confirmation I guessed. I nodded a little locking eyes with him fearfully. I witnessed a glimmer in his eyes and he removed his palm from my mouth slowly. I mustered up a little strength and asked nervously. "Kon hai aap aur yahan kya kar rhe hain," His eyes softened, looking deep into my eyes as if he could see through them as if he owned them. A strong wind surfaced, pulling away the fabric and revealing his face. It was him. My heartbeats raced wildly. He flickered his gaze to my lips for a few seconds, licked his lower lip a little with an unreadable emotion and peered back deeply into my eyes, delving into my soul. He replied in the raw, masculine and resonating voice I had heard months before. "Daksh naam hai hamara. Vivaah karne aaye hai aapse," *** I could not believe my eyes that he was standing right in front of me. The day I walked away from him, with a swarm of butterflies in the depths of my guts and belly, I never considered the possibility of crossing our paths again. I never thought we would get another chance in this life. Was it a wise decision of me to run away back then like that? The moments we shared back then flashed back into my memory. I started wondering if this was a coincidence or if he purposely located me. *** This is the love story of Daksh Pratap Rathore and Radhika Maan Singh.
