The expression on his face made me feel as if I was wrong to say what I'd just said. I thought it was cute, or at least something he would laugh about-but he didn't. He didn't even say goodbye when he got off at his stop on the bus. I felt a bit uneasy about what was going to happen.
A few minutes earlier...
"Aria, stop! Why do you keep asking me questions I don't know the answers to?" Maxwell said and that is because I asked him if animals talks to each other about humans. Then I asked him which girl in our class he found attractive. He smiled and said, "You." We laughed about it because it wasn't the first time the girls in my class had asked me to get his answer, and he always said the same thing. Then he turned to me and said, "Aria, let's enjoy a quiet ride home; my head is hurting." I thought about how to tell him that Samantha liked him, so I just said, "Okay, fine-last question. Well, it's not really a question; it's more like a statement." He sighed and said, "Fine."
So I said, "Sam said she likes you"
