(CURRENT FOCUS) In which- instead of Daniel Diaz, there's Leo Leo Diaz has only ever yearned for understanding. At eleven years old, he's often told he's too old to act like a baby, but too young to act like he knows everything. He was simply stuck in the middle, and he hated it. His being a sensitive kid never helped the matter. After a sudden but tragic incident in their hometown leaves their father dead and the police hot on their trail, Leo and his older brother Sean are forced to flee their home. They travel the West Coast alone, meeting familiar and unfamiliar faces along the way. Sixteen-year-old Sean must take on the responsibility of protecting his curious and reckless younger brother. And it only becomes harder when it's discovered that Leo Diaz has a superpower. ~ This is an alternate universe in which Daniel Diaz does not exist (dw I still love him)

However, his dreams are swiftly crushed as the dead begin to overthrow society and rule the Earth.
