The story is set 15 years after the boys' Senior graduations-now living the lives of adults whilst having the complications of emotions a teenager typically has.
Linus, since getting a degree in teaching, has been working on making his life more organized and independent, abandoning his issues with both abandonment and attachment and focusing on what needs to be done most of the time, whilst still feeding into his "childish" tendencies.
Charlie Brown, still a creative with need of a muse, finds himself a hobby that makes him feel both happy and accomplished, and uses that for income and the process of creating joy. Since becoming independent, such as Linus, his life has been more so conditional on the need to stay in the market while living his life to the fullest.
When both meet once again, they realize they may need each other to complete their goals, and start to question a lot of things about themselves.
They felt this way when they were teenagers, but that was just friendship, and so is this...right?
