Once there was peace. Where creatures and mortals and monsters lived alongside each other, loved one another. But then there was a murder and war engulfed the lands. Russia and America have been together for months now, it was a wonderful relationship. Both loved each other and took care in making sure one another was happy. Though it seems times are changing, they argue more, fight alot, and people are noticing. Are they drifting apart? (Warnings: Heavy cursing, mentions of self harm/suicide, drinking, violence/abuse.) To be noted: While some aspects may be inspired by history, this is an au at best. If my way of portraying the characters bothers you sorry. I don't mind discussing it, but if you insult me in any way. I will not be bothered to talk to you.

In this world, the Countryhumans are treated as less than people. They are kept locked up. The whole world knew about them, and the governments kept them caged. They were experimented on, and tortured. Sometimes the scientists would go further. But what happens when one of them finally escapes...?

Russia has an online friend, Cosmos, who he talks to almost every night. They are the best of friends, and they chat and play games together everyday. Just as Russia was beginning to discover he has feelings for Cosmos, Cosmos stops responding to Russia and Russia is left worried and afraid. One week later, however, Russia finds a letter in the mail from Cosmos. The letter goes on and on, but eventually leads Russia on a journey to find out what happened to his friend and figure out his new strange feelings towards Cosmos. ~~~ America has an online friend, Rei, who he talks to almost every night. They are the best of friends, and they chat and play games together everyday. America's always loved talking and playing games with his friend. He's never gone to a real school, being stuck inside a hospital his whole life; so, he makes up for that by having as much contact with his friend as he can. But everything changes when America's doctors tell him he only has about a month left to live. That day, America decides that he's going to live the life he's always dreamed of, even if it costs him his life. He only has a month left to live, anyway.

"Dad- Dad I swear I did nothing- We were playing and-" Blood was staining the white carpet in the Livingroom. America knew that it was his fault. It was his fault that his brother was bleeding into Britain's jacket and it was his fault that the pretty carpet got dirty but there was no way that he would admit it. He was too scared of what would happen if he did. The small boy wasn't a good liar so he wasn't even suprised when Britain grabbed his wrist with one hand while still pressing Canada into his chest with the other one. Canada wasn't making a sound. He was horrifying silent. "Why are you like this?" America's heart feeled like it got smashed on the ground. He would have preferred that his dad would've screamed at him or yes- even punched him right into the face, he knew that he would've deserved it, but his dad was just starring at him with a deep deep sadness visible in his eyes."Why can't you just be like your brothers?" "It doesn't matter if it was an accident, Netherlands. The damage has already been done!" America scowled, his grip on the edge of the table close to breaking it. "Luxie knows that, and he's very sorry for it!" Netherlands tried. "He never meant for any of this to happen! He just-" "Sorry isn't going to fix this." UK interrupted, his voice filled with the anger of everyone in the room. The papers were now crumpled in the personification's grip. "Do you truly understand what Luxembourg has done? He not only put himself in danger, but all of us." ===OR=== An alternative universe where Countryhumans live in a world separate from Earth, called Azibo. No man or woman is aware of Azibo, or the existence of the personifications- much to the liking of the Countryhumans. There are dangers in having their existence exposed, so actively making sure to keep it from getting out is the Countryhumans top priority. Even if the job does get a little risky. So when a photo of a Countryhuman is taken and leaked, the world of Azibo scrambles to stomp it out. This is the first time the humans have gotten physical evidence on the personifications. Russia, as confident and strong he looks, on the inside he's just a pile of nervous ash. Still scarred by his father's death, he looks for more meaning in life. He's already found it but he doesn't know how to deal with the feelings he has for a certain someone... And this someone: America, has a pretty average life. The only thing is his father is an alcoholic. And not the funny drunk either. America has to help his siblings, and is the only one brave enough to stand up to their father when drunk. America has not only to stop getting his father to drink, but help his friend who has fallen extremely ill with something no one knows what it is. At least he has a gift that will help him more than once. This is my first fanfic that I actually published so please hang with me- I may post another book in this same au for gerpol, but it will get really slow updates because Im already writing a lot of other books.
