When Violet's parent's get divorced, Violet, Rosie (Her Mother), and Maybelene (Her Sister) move to an old, ugly house left to them by Violet's great grandmother after she dies. Violet has to go to a new school, and make new friends in this strange, creepy, and old town. But when her father dies, and she discovers that she (along with her friends), can see her dads ghost. He warns her that something evil is coming. Violet and her friends dig deeper into her family's past; and discover that maybe everything she knew about her family is a lie.
