Which really he never understood how- this place has been less gloomy when he came here.. but besides that, DogDay, One of the smiling critters, suddenly started talking with him. Giving him comfort... He doesn't know what this feeling is.. Why is he suddenly being nice and kind to him then the rest of the smiling critters. Can this be ever explained? ....pls. The Smiling critters consist of: DogDay (Dog) (Wears a sun pendant)- Strong and Determined CatNap (Cat) (Wears a crescant moon pendant)- Calm and loves to sleep! Bubba Bubbaphant (Elaphant) (Wears a lightbulb pendant)-Bright and Brainy! Bobby BearHug (Bear) (Wears a heart pendant)-Caring and Compassionate! Crafty Corn (Unicorn) (Wears a rainbow flower pendant)-Artistic and creative! Picky Piggy (Pig) (Wears an apple pendant)- Loves food and nutrition! Hoppy Hopscotch (Rabbit) (Wears a lightning bolt pendant)-Energetic and sometimes impatient! Kickin Chicken (Chicken) (Wears a star pendant)-Cool and confident! This series will have the critters going on adventures, playing games, learning lessons, and living their everyday lives. There even may be a potential romance! I want everyone to know that this series is not relevant to the lore of Poppy Playtime it's fanfiction. I know in the original lore they were children who were made into toys. But this series has no relevance to it, also the characters in this series are NOT children. Anyway I will be making 2-3 episodes a week!! I hope you all enjoy!!!

Catnap knew that he didn't belong in this ragtag happy bunch of friends they call the "Smiling Critters." Though he considers them all great friends, most of them still seem to think of him as too "scary and creepy." His words are often too intricate and confusing for anyone to really understand what he's trying to say. His face is mostly too "smiley" and freaks everyone out whenever they catch him in their sight. But above all else, he's too hard to approach. No one really knows what he's thinking. He's too mysterious. They don't know the first thing about him and his true intentions. ...But he was never trying to be part of any of those things. He would love to call them all his friends if they would let him. And yet, none of them are willing to try. Except for one. There only existed one other of the group he could reliably call his "friend." One quiet night, Catnap sits beside his best companion, Dogday. The two talk for a while until the feline says "I hope that one day, I'll be like the rest of you." Not expecting much out of the other through this one moment of weakness, Catnap sits in silence. He feels as though he shouldn't have said anything, until... "Why don't I help you?" The dog suggests. With his attention suddenly grabbed, he looks to the canine. Could his dream really come true that easily?

One day, a meteor shower falls, so they all plan a vacation. On that day, they would start to have desires to get even closer. But they would not get together that easily. Since they both don't treat their love the same. Their friends help them overcome their fears and give them courage and bravery to tell each-other how they really feel. "Will we remain best friends for 'good,' or will I get what I truly want?" They asked themselves this ever since. LATEST UPDATE (7/1/2024): EPILOGUE AND CLOSING HAS BEEN PUBLISHED.
