Meredith's mom is sick. No, not in the cold-curable-by-meds way, nor in the impending-cancerous-doom way. Meredith's mother is psychologically sick and refuses to seek help. Consequently Meredith has taken on the role of the peacekeeper and her little brother's caretaker. At the mere age of 17, she has assumed the role of the level-headed adult in her crazy single mother's household. Battling with her mother's illness her entire life, Meredith has always felt more mature than her years. Her few school friends are superficial relationships at best; and she's been working at a one-hour photo development shop since she was 16. Meredith feels like she is caught in limbo, stuck not fitting into the teenage world where she belongs and the adult world in which she must survive. As her home life continues to worsen, Meredith finds comfort in the unsuspected happiness of a stranger's photography. When she finally meets this stranger, will she be surprised to find he's no stranger at all? This is Meredith's story.

Death. It’s such a simple word. But sometimes it hits you. Realization strikes. Realization that death is inevitable. It can’t be solved, fixed, or prevented. Death is uncontrollable. Sometimes the realization that death happens and it changes thing. Some people, people that can’t cope with death, believe that the dead will come back. That they’ll walk the same streets again. That they’ll reunite and chat again. People take everything for granted. That is, until it’s snatched away. November Sills was your typical teenage girl. At least on the outside. But only two people knew the truth about her. About her death. About the things leading up to her death. Jake and Josh. But they’ll never tell. They can’t. They had to pretend. Pretend that they knew only what the newspapers said. Pretend that they weren’t what they were. Pretend they weren’t involved with her death. Pretend they were normal.

365 days of writing. Does that sound ambitious? Maybe a little, but I'm willing to give it a shot. I started off thinking I could do this in one year, but that was just a sweet dream. In reality, I write as often as I can, if my life allows it. This may take years, but I promise that it will be finished. This is 365 days of me. Elsa and Katrina, this is for you ;)
