[This stories on hold/ in a weird limbo state for now] FYI- This is a character x reader story!! Y/N L/N portrays themself as just a normal person, living a normal life, in a normal town. But, unbeknownst to her new friends, the 'dead boy detectives' - Edwin and Charles - and their psychic Crystal Palace, Y/N isn't as normal as she claims to be. Y/N is one of the Endless children. She is Desolation the Endless. The eighth child, the one who ran away, who's been hiding all her life. (Y/N is not strictly a female character, I just use she her pronouns to make my life a little easier when writing! But the gender has nothing to do with the overall character!) (!!Important note!! If you've been reading this story as it comes out, you might know Y/N was originally Decay the Endless, but I'm changing it to Desolation the Endless- it makes more sense because she seen as pointless and useless by her siblings, and is afraid of being alone) I'm going to lean into a more Edwin x Reader storyline, possibly with some Cat King stuff sprinkled in. But I am not the type to write anything explicit (like smut)- so this will be a wholesome story 👍 (for the most part lol) I haven't seen any Dead Boy Detective fanfics yet, so here I am to fill that void in media! !!!I do not own these characters, or this concept of course, I am just writing a little fanfic!!!
