The story is set in Gardenplain, Kansas in the year 1993. Following Wyatt graves and his family while also focusing on the disappearance of multiple teenage girls in the community. The story goes into depth about Wyatt's relationship with his family members and how his family functions despite all going through their own unique trauma.
