It's been almost a year since they got to the safe haven, but Thomas can't heal. He reads Newt's letter everyday, once in the morning and once in the evening. He can't help but wonder what he could have done differently. But one morning, Thomas and the others are startled to find a small surprise waiting for them on the beach. A surprise that'll push them to go back to the world they so longed to escape from.

Newt was not one to stumble into trouble. Not because he avoided it. He made it. The chaos was hidden deep within him, and the trouble he caused would be buried deep in the ground. Newt needed control, and so he ensured that the only trouble in his life would be caused by himself. But then Thomas stumbled in with his brothers not far behind. The very definition of troubled, and certainly unplanned in the blondes life. Neither were right for each other, and then Stiles goes missing. Perhaps buried six feet under. Or perhaps, the biggest trickster around. This story is fiction made up by me, any resemblance to real life events are unintentional. Newt, Thomas, and Minho are not my own characters. They belong to James Dashner. Neither is Stiles Stilinski and Lydia Martin, who belong to Jeff Davis. I also don't own Dylan O'Brien, who is also present in this story. (This is a fanfiction with primarily Newtmas, although multiple ships are present)

Now he's on the streets, his neighbours keeping offering a place to stay, his best friend is getting on his nerves, and with a crush thrown into the mix Newt is a ticking time bomb towards an emotional breakdown.
