Life can be brutal and uncaring to some. Aisha was one of those unfortunate "some" she had deceived herself into believing she had full control of her life. That she could set the terms of how her life would unfold. However, life and fate have a way of showing us just how much control we truly have. How does one cope when the people most important in our lives are ripped away from us? What does one do when they become the sole guardian of their two younger siblings? And how does one survive, when you're hated because of your faith.

-Complete- He was her guide, And she was his darling. He was her rock, And she was his home. He was her ease, And she was his joy. He was her love, And she was his world, But he was a man with a duty, And he had to answer when his land called. ▪•▪•▪•▪•▪•▪•▪•▪•▪•▪•▪•▪•▪•▪•▪•▪•▪ Cover credit ▪️@gangstainheels247

Parsaai Noorani is an 18-year-old girl that has been accused of an unforgivable act. Because of it, she loses everything. Her scholarship to Cambridge, any friends she’d ever had, and the worst thing. Her parents’ trust. Overcome by disbelief, disappointment, and anger, they send Parsaai, better known as Pari, to Mina, her birthplace and motherland, hoping the time away from London and home will return her to her senses and allow people time to forget. In Mina, she is surrounded by family she hasn’t seen in ages. Aunts, Uncles, and cousins that had once, during her childhood, been like brothers and sisters to her. Now, she can barely remember their names. Regardless, they treat her like their own, like she and her family had never left the city. They accept her—mistakes and all, unlike her parents, who sent her away because of one she never committed. But, despite their love and kindness, she still feels like an outsider, a stranger that is constantly being discussed in private. And then, as she finally starts to feel less uncomfortable around her family, as she slowly begins to open up to them and enjoy herself, she is forced to see them in their true, ugly forms. Simultaneously, as if to further disturb her trip, Mina is suddenly placed under martial law in order to counter the violent riots that have begun erupting around the city. A strict curfew that every tourist, visitor, and citizen must abide by is established. Anyone who dares to break it or tries to go against it is immediately arrested and jailed. Everywhere she turns, Pari sees soldiers, adorned in Pakistan and India's national colors, armed with large, daunting weapons. One solider in particular, who she coincidentally encounters on many occasions, attracts her stubborn curiosity and brings out her fear the most. He seems ruthless, overbearing, cruel, and downright monstrous. And though she tries to stay away from him and the others as much as she can, Fate has other things in mind.

He grabbed my arm laughing, with his cheeks red on his tan skin, and hands cold from the winter chill. He pulled me up from the snow I slipped on, and my limp body sprung up with such force. He doesn't look strong, is what I first thought when I saw him for the first time. "You're heavy!" He complained, after I stopped wobbling. I gave him an annoyed look, and that sent him laughing again for some reason. He laughed at everything I did nowadays which oddly made me cringe outwardly, but inside I was sort of happy. Sort of? Yeah, sort of. Because I sort of.... wasn't on board with the idea of having had to marry him when I was still only 18. Neither was I sort of... mentally prepared for it. This is our story... Or rather our bizarre story.... Arranged and married... When the ambitious Raaida and the scary Harun are thrown into a loveless surprise marriage, they have no idea what to do. Breaking it off is the one thing they vowed not to do. So what do they do? Author's note: Assalamu Alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakaatuhu guys, So it's my...fourth (or is it 5th?) story. It'll be another long ride... well if you can understand that I'm not exactly reliable when it comes to updating regularly -_- But nevertheless, if I want a change in my life, I'm going to have to learn how to do things the right way. I don't want to write a story that takes years to complete, and this time I don't want the updates to be so far a part that you forget the characters and the plot. But I can't promise you anything yet. However, you can expect a new update every week In Shaa Allah. :) Enjoy. Salaam.
