Kirk lets his crew take a 3 day shore leave as the five year mission is coming to an end. When he goes back to the ship to retrieve his ID that he carelessly left on the bridge, he discovers Spock doing something he shouldn't be doing in the captain's chair.
Jim wakes from a nightmare of Tarsus. Spock finds him and comforts him, prompting them to confront their feelings for each other.
Humans and Vulcans no longer get along and are enemy planets. But when a Vulcan walks into James.T.Kirks ship the Captain instantly falls in love. The Vulcan also sees something in the Captain he does not normally see.
