Hi. So these are a bunch of short stories about various Ranger's Apprentice characters. I'm going to try to stay as much to the storyline as I could, I'm not going to pretend that Alyss had a child and whatnot. Rangers apprentice whumps and other one shots. Idk just please read

Basically a Ranger's Apprentice short story featuring our favorite characters and a lot of emotions. Disclaimer: Most characters and events referred to belong to John A. Flanagan, author of the entire Ranger's Apprentice series. Is set after 'And About Time Too' in the eleventh book The Lost Stories. Headcanon story and could thus have happened.

A couple of ideas I turn into one-shots. Alyss isn't dead in any of them unless I specifically say so. Please read, comment and vote. Thanks for reading! I may also add a couple of What ifs... this is what will happen when there are different scenarios- some are pretty much impossible but will just be funny. You've heard of their adventures, of the wars, of their accomplishments. You know where they've traveled. But what about the parts you don't see? The parts of their lives that have been untold?

Gilan has been apprenticed to the famous Halt O'Carrick for two years now. He's excelled in every aspect of his training, especially in unseen and silent movement. Becoming a Ranger is all Gilan has ever wanted for the majority of his life. Of course, he still trains under MacNeil in Carraway Fief. But as Gilan leaves for what he thinks is another uneventful journey to study under the swordsman, he finds himself crossing paths with a nasty enemy. One of Morgarath's most trusted allies has managed to escape the hands of the Ranger Corps for two years, a problem that is so concerning, King Duncan has threatened to reevaluate the Corps members if this man goes unchecked. And Gilan finds himself in the heart of the enemy's camp. Will Gilan escape to tell Halt? If he does, can the two of them, along with a few others from the Corps, track down this enemy and finally capture him? What's more, will this ally lead them to Morgarath and give them the chance to stop this warlord once and for all?

The burning bridge. Where Will and Evalyn had been captured to be sold into slavery. Where Halt had taken initiative to save his beloved apprentice which resulted in him behind banished from Castle Auraleun. Where on countless of times, near death experiences had occurred. But what if the roles were reversed? What if it were Halt who was the one captured? What if it were Will who had to go in search for Halt? (Note: This is a FAN-FICTION)

If it wasn't for Halt, where would we all be? Well... Right here. This is what happens when two geniuses put their heads together. Oh, and when a little something called the butterfly effect applies.
