"You don't know the half," J gritted his teeth. His eyes pierced mine and, already, I could feel my blood rising with anger.
"Don't." I pushed, reluctant to allow my temperament to be bothered by his antics.
I could see a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. He knew he had me where he wanted me, and every part of me hated it.
"So do something," he raised his hands as if he were innocent, but his tone tested my patience. "Do something about it."
I shook my head; partially because of the winter wind whipping through my hair, biting at the tip of my nose, and partially because I wasn't going to allow him wrap me around his fingers again.
He opened his mouth once more, "I'm waiting."
