Milena gave up college to take care of her family's coffee shop after her father's accident. But when bills pile up and hope runs thin, she turns to underground boxing - dangerous, illegal, and the only thing paying enough to keep them afloat. Across the street from the café sits a towering company run by Viviana Romano- a powerful, cold CEO who secretly owns the ring milena fights in. When Vivianna hears about a new fighter causing a stir, she doesn't expect the stubborn girl from the café. Milena doesn't care who Viviana is - all she sees is a woman who plays safe and never gets her hands dirty. They argue. They clash. But something keeps pulling them back together.

Belladonna (beh•luh•do•nuh) -it means beautiful lady in Italian. Coincidentally it's also the name of a deadly plant known as nightshade, which has deep purple flowers and poisonous black berries. ꨄ A new city, new school, a total new everything. Birdie Spine is starting her very first day of her junior year of college on the west coast. Far away from everyone she's ever known. She's excited for a new start and to get away from everything she's ever known until she suddenly isn't anymore. Dazzling hazel eyes ruin it all. Or at least she imagines that it's all ruined. This woman with dazzling hazel eyes is her professor-her most Important professor. Are Birdie and this woman able to keep it professional together since they both know their interactions are far from professional or is it just too strong to be held together? [THERE ARE ERRORS in this book! So many errors & they will get fixed soon enough. I just write for fun & none of it is professional. Please beware of these before you read further!]

Crown Princess Leonore, heir to the queendom of Dranath, likes women, obviously. The Queen Mother Carmilla marries her off to Sir Gabriel, obviously. So when she finds out Sir Gabriel is a woman... Dranath; queendom of mystique, bordered by jealous allies. To the southwest, the states of Aurune. East is the coast and the maritime poleis of Raham. To the north, the Hierstag clans. Rich in land and crop and poor in everything else, the queendom is closed in from all fronts. And when the sword of years-long grudges is brought to bear, who will play it to the hilt? ------------------------------ i wanted to say that this book is my love letter to imperialism, but it's actually lovingly crafted hatemail non-anonymously submitted to imperialism's tumblr asks. this is an exploration of how much suffering one can propagate in order to achieve one's goal, and the degree in which your decisions can be justified (even only to yourself!) before you become, essentially, irredeemable; an exercise in Is It Worth It Though yeah there's magic(k) in this one. and a lot of geopolitics! might have gotten carried away with the geopolitics. come for the gay, stay for the political machinations. or come for the political machinations and stay for the gay, i dont mind. 3rd person pov, leonore-centric, no homophobia (at least, not the kind we usually see), i want to say butch/femme but honestly it's butch gabriel/whatever the hell leonore is. folk anti-hero narrative or villain origin story, you decide

Zora Monet Laguerre. She's like a walking Barbie doll. Her hair and nails are always done. Her outfits are always in season with the perfect designer shoes and bag to match. She's perfect. Everything about her from head to toe is just, well- perfect. And working in the beauty industry, she doesn't have much room to be anything but, so perfect is what she forever strives to be. Rebecca "Ritchie" Diaz. She's the complete opposite of Zora. She thinks perfect is absolutely boring. And as a music producer/song writer, boring goes against everything she stands for. So naturally, she's not a huge fan of Zora's very posh, and at times a bit snobby, attitude. And Zora feels as though Ritchie is too care free and has no sort of structure to her seemingly very chaotic and always on the go lifestyle. And in the beginning they clash- a lot. But as cliché as it sounds, sometimes opposites do in fact attract, and sometimes... they don't. Started: January 9, 2022 Completed: July 7, 2022

It was never supposed to mean anything. Just a fleeting moment. A beautiful mistake, soaked in midnight and quiet desperation. One night to forget the rules. To taste freedom in the arms of a stranger. To let go without thinking of the morning after. No goodbyes. No consequences. Only touches that lingered too long, and memories etched into skin like whispers. But fate doesn't play fair. Because when Mia stepped into her classroom that Monday morning, time didn't just stop. It held its breath. And there she was. The stranger from that night. But not draped in shadows this time. No, now she stood in the light. Composed. Commanding. Off-limits. Her new English teacher. Their eyes met. A flash of recognition. A pause too long to be innocent. Mia's heart stumbled in her chest. The room faded, voices dulled, the world narrowed to just her. The woman she wasn't supposed to see again. The woman who now held her future in the palm of her hand. And maybe, just maybe, still remembered everything.
