Basically Kai comes back from the prison world, meets elena and secretly falls for her but doesn't listen to the voices in his head. he captured her, wanting to torture but learn more about her, meanwhile elena was intrigued by the warlock. and afraid at the same time.

My spin on 6x13, instead of Kai fixing the ascendant, him and Elena go to the prison world to inform Bonnie about Silas' tombstone. On their journey to find Bonnie, Elena starts to notice that there are redeemable parts of Kai and can't help but fall for him. In this story, Bonnie was never going to commit suicide because I felt that kind of downgraded her character and I felt that that was kind of OOC of Julie Plec. This story is Kai x Elena with Damon x Elena undertones.
