It doesn't make their soldier-sergeant relationship any better when Jovourney notices Briar is harder on her for whatever reason. This causes them to bump heads at first since they both have dominant personalities, a student in training that refuses to listen and follow the rules, and a hell-bent boss who refuses to change things no matter who likes it or not, but the dislike is one-sided, only on Jovourney's side. Jovourney thinks Briar is doing it out of malice, but could it simply be they wind up not being that different from each other after all? Will love bloom, or will they let their positions affect them from developing something special?
