Luckily, Chiyo had never been too afraid of exposure. 𝐍𝐈𝐑𝐀𝐆𝐈.. was rough, but he had been shaped that way-sharpened by every bruise life carved into him. People only saw the violence on the surface, but no one knew the real source of that darkness, or how it had been her hands-her actions, her absence, her choices-that slowly molded him into this version of himself. So when the linchpin's oldest son gets too close to the everlasting playing cards, he 𝐰𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 something familiar.

For 𝐘𝐔𝐙𝐔𝐊𝐈 𝐁𝐀𝐘𝐀, all worlds contain dangerous elements- though she might even be safer in the Borderlands; the laws she broke don't apply here. 𝐒𝐇𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐎̄ 𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐘𝐀 knows about her actions all too well. He's not interested in redemption, yet something about her piques his curiosity. Perhaps the fact that her illegal activities affected him on a daily basis. Once they enter the Borderlands, they pretend not to know each other. But both of them are always keeping a sharp eye out.
