A scandal shook the Bouchard family when young Duke Lucas Bouchard was dumped by his unfaithful fiancee Elizabeth three weeks before their wedding. She left without a word and only her best friend, the town's gossiper Rosemary knew of her whereabouts. And that was the first time he set eyes on Grace Bennett, Lady Danbury's protege and a nanny in the Bridgerton's household. She lost her parents at the tender age of five and was sent with her sister Lillian into the orphanage. After a year and half Lillian got adopted. Grace wasn't. Twelve years later, she is still trying to find her sister. Hence, she applied for a position of nanny in the Bridgertons household to earn money so she can continue her search. Yes, we have all seen it, for those of us who are caught up, and yes, we know that Jack dies in the show. BUT! This is a story of the life in Hope Valley if he hadn't died and everything was as it should be!
