---Book of the Month 2018 winner in the sci-fi category from awardofthemonth2018--- ---1st place winner in teen fic Writer's Circle Awards by concinnitycircle--- A/N: This book is action-packed with a sprinkle of mystery all wrapped in a science-fiction teen drama! I know. It's quite a mouthful. Cue the summary! *** Skylar is born with predetermined odds against her. She's been isolated since birth from her true nature and her peers in the name of an experiment. A change of plans cause the people in charge to order her relocation to Oakwood, a microscopic town swarming with mutants like her. They silently follow her journey as Riley is confronted to strange locals, a boy that hates her guts and nightmarish monsters lurking around her house. Throughout the series, she slowly but surely discovers truths about herself she could never fathom... and that there is a daunting trap waiting to snap. One life. One experiment. Endless lies. Some cussing and violence invovled. THIS IS THE FIRST BOOK OF A SERIES AND IT GETS PROGRESSIVELY DARKER 😈 Disclaimer : My story is inspired from Jennifer Armentrout's series Lux (basically, credits to her because this wouldn't exist otherwise). There are many differences but also several similarities. The plot isn't centered the same, either way. I just have fun writing and twisting up my favorite elements.

[COMPLETED] •Being revised... AGAIN (Progress: Intro-Chap. 3)• "We're going back... Understand? There are more threats out here than we anticipated, and they're all after you-" Lukas' voice erupted into static and chunks... I glared at the man in all black as the light continued to beam and blind me. Without my glasses it was actually painful. And then there was silence. My bare feet hit the metal floor of wherever we had jumped to, and I put my hand up to shield my eyes from the vicious attack of bright light. Not again." Alexi Callidus is living in a post-apocalyptic world... In the 25th Century. The year is 2470. She's been surviving on her own for 4 years and 8 months inside the same building with her only companion without seeing the sun. 5 years after the brutal unexplained murder of her family. 7 years after the genetic disaster of "GASP". 7 years and 4 months after the War of Nations. Everything seems to be barren and empty... But if her super old sci-fi movies didn't teach her that looks deceive, nothing will. Technology, before "GASP" (Genetically Altered Soldiers Program) and the War of Nations, was insane. You could be teleported in the blink of an eye, or healed from a once fatal injury in days. With the majority of the population infected with a viral genetic plague, almost any of the survivors could access this technology... Including Alexi. When a simple quest for survival turns into a journey of a lifetime, will Alexi be able to survive the weight of the gruesome truth when she finally uncovers it? Will our heroine be able to fade into the background and live a quiet life of cunning? Or burst into flames in a sudden blaze of tragedy? -Callidus Rising- •This book's sequel is in progress (Curing Revolution) Highest Ranks: •#1 "secretsocieties" •#1 "armageddon" •#2 "famine" •#2 "plague" •#3 "explorer" •#4 "genetic-engineering" •#5 "artificial intelligence" Com

Hey, I'm Cryptex. This is actually my first time publishing a story publicly. I've always had ideas, characters, and scenes living in my head, but I never really thought about sharing them with other people until a good friend encouraged me to finally try. So... here I am. Elysium Crest: The Vision Between Us is a story I'm building slowly with a lot of emotion, mystery, and pieces of myself hidden inside the characters. I want this novel to feel more than just entertaining-I want it to feel real, emotional, and memorable. I'm still learning as a writer, so thank you to everyone who decides to read this story and grow with me through the journey. I truly hope you enjoy it. - Cryptex At Elysium Crest Academy, a prestigious private school where status and perfection define everything, Çryptex is the quiet new student who keeps to himself. Intelligent, wealthy, and distant, he tries to stay invisible in a place where everyone is being watched. But everything changes when he discovers something impossible-every time he touches someone, he sees fragments of the future. And in every vision involving Emerald, the cold and mysterious girl who never talks to anyone, one truth always repeats itself: He will hurt her. As Çryptex is drawn closer to Emerald against his will, he begins to uncover a deeper mystery hidden within the visions-one that connects them both in ways he cannot understand. The more he tries to avoid her, the closer fate pushes them together. In a school built on secrets, status, and silence, one boy must decide: Is the future something he is meant to accept... or something he can change? 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Based on the hit WEBTOON comic by Ingrid Ochoa, The Kiss Bet follows Sara Lin on her quest to experience her first kiss. Told from multiple points of view, including Sara's and three boys, The Kiss Bet shows that life-and love-can be messy and complicated, but it sure can be fun. Read it on WEBTOON, Wattpad, or get the full published version adapted by Farrah Penn in book stores today! *** It's senior year and Sara Lin just turned eighteen. She's got great friends, a cool dad (or so he thinks), and a whole lot ahead of her. She understands that her first kiss is a rite of passage, one that she takes very seriously, even if everyone around her doesn't. She wants it to be special-true love's kiss-and wants to fall for someone she really cares about, not just get it over with. Then her best friend Patrick challenges Sara to a bet that will either lead to love or heartbreak. Or maybe embarrassment? Maybe all three. And the more he teases her, the more she wants to prove him wrong . . . that maybe her first kiss can be memorable and special and fun and life changing.

It makes you cry, just from pure, uncontainable joy, and the ending kept us reading until nearly 6am. Everything about this story is beautiful. We were astounded that anyone could create something so magnificent and moving and magical. This level of storytelling mastery will never not blow us away." [Word Count: 70,500]
