Karen Was a pretty garbage human, so it wasn't to much of a surprise to her that she also made a pretty garbage hero. But she never asked to be hauled to another world with a plethora of other subway patrons to fight monsters for a bunch of self important other worlders either. So, you get what you pay for in the end. But this already tail spin of an adventure takes an even darker turn when Karen is left for dead in the depths of a dungeon, fighting to live just one more minute. In the depths of this hell hole she is presented with a choice: Die, or become the next Demon God. Gonna add this one to Royal Road next :)

Warry, a little broken, and expelled from the hero's party, Cassandra decides that its time to return to her country of birth. Actually returning home is out of the question, but it sure would be nice to find a back woods, out of the way, little slice of country side to rest and heal. The Alchemist is considered the most useless of all the 5 classes offered in the Virtual World of 'Hell's Gates'(Warrior, Archer, Mage, Cleric, and Alchemist). Having little to no Combat Skills, and relying on real-world Chemistry Knowledge (a Lost art of sorts,) to make anything more than the most basic potions, they are very rarely seen past the first or second level, because most people change their class after seeing its uselessness. Still, this class allows Sam to spread her literal and proverbial wings as a Chemist and Inventor in a world where such a skill set is actually very valuable! Of course, with the rarity and value of their skills comes a plethora of problems, and most don't last very long at all, but Sam is determined, damn it! Hopefully, being stubborn and lucky in equal portions will be enough to survive and thrive in the world of Hell's Gates? (((Complete!!!
