All he ever wanted was to follow his passion, a messed up way but he wanted to learn his thirst was knowledge can never be quenched. Karn was an antihero all because he chose the side of Adharm, who cares about Adharma, when his mitr needed him. In the end his death was also the result of proper guidance. He lost his sanity when both his best friends died, he lost his sanity when he saw all his nephews die, he lost his sanity when nieces also died performing Sati.
