Esoteric: adj. Understood by or meant for only the select few who have special knowledge or interest. A group of eight. Multiple disappearances appear around town. Bodies of the missing coming back dead. An unknown prosecutor. The citizens of Madison, Massachusetts are in an uproar as these unexplainable events occur. It started badly with the kid. It got worse as the missing and dead piled up. The deaths are brushed off as accidents, and the "murderer" behind bars. Yet, some know better. Some who can see things others cannot. Enter the "buddys club". A group of high school freshmen, attempting to survive the year. Determined to get to the bottom of these problems, they try to solve the problem through dangerous, contradictory ways. Navigating personal problems, rivalries, and of course the trouble in everyone's mind is the adventure of a lifetime. But, as relations flare and the trouble outside their doorstep becomes more real and horrifying, they must discover where their true allies and trust remain, and what they must do to save everyone around them. ***** TW: Gore, horror, death, murder. [UNDER EDITING] Rhytdros--leader of the Gods. The ruler of the elements. He is the oldest and most powerful since the beginning of time itself. He is credited for all the prosperity of a kingdom, and no mortal knows what would happen if one were to raise his temper. Lantana knows her place. She's the monarch, the future queen of a kingdom bustling with magic and myth. She would be the most renowned and praised person in the land. Never once overcome by power or wealth, she envied her people's simple, free lives. So, Lantana runs away, into freedom, and from the throne. Years later, she is found and returned to her kingdom. Sorrow, despair, and disappointment all come with the sudden lifestyle change. Along with the negative comes a new, powerful feeling of leadership. The home Lantana is reintroduced into is nothing like how she remembers it. Taken a nasty turn for the worse, her kingdom is being wracked with disaster because of her father's mistake.
