Mary Durward’s life hasn’t been the same since her best friend Noah passed away. Although diagnosed with clinical depression and paranoid schizophrenia, she’s convinced she is being haunted by Noah’s ghost. After one fateful night spent at the local cemetery, Mary is suddenly able to see Noah—and she discovers that she accidently opened up a gate to Hell, allowing demons to invade the already-deemed-to-be-haunted seaside town of Cullis Port. Now it's up to Mary with her newfound clairvoyance, a guy whose promiscuity helps keep him distracted from his personal issues, a childhood friend who simply can't seem to get over the past, and an overprotective ghost to rid the town of evil before it's too late.

“Think of this school as one big body of matter composed of hundreds of restless atoms,” he said, “or a fallen piece of the night sky, sprinkled with flickering stars. Every second of every day we spend within these walls, a beautiful phenomenon occurs: casual encounters leave their marks on unsuspecting lives, and in the midst of it all raw emotions like love permeate the social structure and lead to an explosive series of events, worthy of literary documentation. And it’s that seemingly harmless bumping of atoms, that unexpected crash between two stars, that…” He paused, grappling for the right words. “That… complicated compilation of colossal collisions—that right there is what I want to get down on paper and share with anyone who cares enough to listen.” *** When two practically nonexistent high school nerds take it upon themselves to observe and document the teenage drama that comes with romantic relationships, they have no idea just how much raw emotion they would witness, how many dark secrets they’d uncover, and how powerful a force love would prove itself to be. This story is the result of their labors.

Voted "Most Likely to Join the Circus" consecutively by Killian High's past three 2009-2011 published yearbooks, and as said by practically every person in the entire school, Derek Wells is the school's ultimate class clown. Seriously, if you're ever in need of a good laugh just go to him and he'll have you clapping your hands and shaking with quiet laughter like some dumb seal. The biggest joke of all to him was love. What was that? It was just some mushy, four-letter word that somehow could make a girl either swoon or cry or slap you in the face depending on the circumstances. So when Derek puts on his newly-acquired glasses for the first time in school, he doesn't expect to see Gwen, one of his closest friends, in a completely different light. Suddenly when she smiles, it feels as if something is crawling around in his stomach and he isn't sure if it's the suspicious crab he had for dinner the night before or gas. When Derek confesses his feelings to her, of course she's going to take it as one big joke. It seems that "the funniest kid in the school" can't say those three words without having someone wait expectantly for the punch line. Will Derek prove to Gwen that he can be serious when he needs to be? Or will she just wind up laughing in his face?

At nineteen, Elsa is a college student with no plan for the future or any desire to continue spending thousands of dollars on a worthless degree. School was never her thing, but her only other options include bartending school or taking over her uncle's petting zoo business. Now home for the summer, her free time is taken up with her busboy duties at the local diner and tagging along to parties with her flamboyant younger cousin. Aside from her older brother and her fluffy cat, Milo, as a voice of reason, Elsa's eccentric behavior isn't exactly welcomed by those around her. And especially not by her handsome new neighbor Leo, son of a wealthy business owner, whose practical thoughts clash with her laid back approach on life. Throw in a mystery team of bandits, and a county fair her uncle leaves her in charge of, and Elsa just might have this whole 'Real World' thing figured out. That is, until her neighbor sticks his nose in her business and complicates everything when he catches her dancing in her underwear. And it hasn't been the first time.

#1 Teen Fiction | #1 Young Adult | #1 Romance "We all need someone to drive us mad." - The Wombats. He stared arrogantly down at me, a smirk plastered across his face. I sneered up at him with distaste, wanting to wrap my fingers around his neck and strangle that smirk off of him. He brushed my golden hair from my face, his long, slender fingers sparking electricity in my skin, making my knees wobble together. "Will you ever, forgive me?" he whispered huskily, his eyes intently staring into mine. His face was only mere inches from me. I just needed to reach out a little further to kiss him... "Yeah. Over my dead body." I snapped, before throwing my arms out forcefully, shoving my hands into his chest, pushing him from me. -*-*-*- He, is Carter Williams. I, am Lacey Adams. We were once, inseparable. The 'Golden Couple'. The unbreakable best friends, that everybody envied. Nothing could get between us. A part from being tighter than white on rice, we updated our status from friends to being in a relationship, frequently. We were neighbours, which meant our families were all close and even co-owned houses around our town. This, all is, until the day of my sixteenth birthday. Everything changed. The loving relationship we shared, was severed and torn apart. I couldn't hardly stand to look at him any more, without spitting fire that is. Every day is torture being around him. He was in all my classes at school and the window in my room was even directly aligned with his. So, what happens? My mother's mum gets sick, so dad and her fly out. Just them. Leaving me to stay with Carter and his parents, who are never home. We would be alone. In one house. Under the same roof. If I was insane before, I have no idea what I am now. © 2016 by LaurenJ22. Sixteen-year-old Pippa Greene never goes anywhere without her camera. She and her best friend/supermodel-in-training Dace long ago mapped out their life plan: Pippa will be the noted fashion photographer, and Dace the cover girl. But ever since last spring, things have changed for Pippa — and her junior year at Spalding High proves to have its own set of challenges. Not only is Vantage Point, the statewide photography competition, in three short weeks, but her mandatory volunteer placement lands her at St. Christopher’s Hospital, a place Pippa never wanted to set foot in again. With humour and pluck, she navigates her new role as a candy striper (watch out for Code Yellows), her changing relationship with her best friend (goodbye Honesty Pact), and — perhaps most stressful of all — her new love interests (yes, love interests plural). Will Pippa make it to Vantage Point without having a panic attack? Will either one of the guys prove less sketchy than her last boyfriend? Can she and Dace figure out a way to dream big and be best friends? One thing is certain: real life is a lot more complicated than a photograph. New chapter updates every Wednesday!
