Eight has lived semi-contentedly for years. All she has ever wanted is to find a way she can obtain happiness while fulfilling her duties as a Worker of the AntWing Colony. So far, that plan has been going swimmingly. Which is to say horrible, because as a dragon who's never even seen the sun (let alone a body of water), Eight can't swim. When her section of Workers reaches maturity they are tasked with a new job: one Eight does not agree with. They have to sire a new generation of Workers for the Colony. She and her best friend devise a plan to escape, but that also backfires - this time, more literally than figuratively... --- Even though this story is rated Mature, it is only for the occasional fight scenes which include enough blood and gore to showcase the reality of fighting. Hawker's entire existence can be boiled down to three undeniable truths: he hates the AntWings, he will do anything to help his tribe, and he will stop at nothing to find his father's killer. So, when given a chance to take part of a dangerous mission, he decides to knock three dragons out with one wing. It's not his fault he ended up questioning everything. --- Even though this story is rated Mature, it is only for the occasional fight scenes which include enough blood and gore to showcase the reality of fighting, as well as mentions of alcohol. Ghost does not know who he is without Lady Atta. Even though they escaped he still acts like her Light, following her to the Poison Jungle. Faced with a war-torn world and uncertainty everywhere he turns, Ghost wonders if he is cut out for the mission his Alate has in store for him. Until now, he has never had a choice. Now that he does, he isn't sure which option to take. Which one he wants. But it isn't Atta who inspires him to act. It's a young AntWing with vengeance on her mind, a dragon he used to detest because she was a better version of him: angry and with a lot to prove, but with the wherewithal to act. He follows her because that is what he is supposed to do - follow and light the way. It's the only life he knows. --- Even though this story is rated Mature, it is only for the occasional fight scenes which include enough blood and gore to showcase the reality of fighting. Don't tell a soul... Peacemaker was never deemed ordinary compared to most other dragonets. Still, one incident is all it took for him to fall down a rabbit hole of deception, guilt, memories, and an unexpected friend. Once Peacemaker gets an invitation to Jade Mountain Academy to get away from everything behind in the rainforest, he accepts. But as Peacemaker continues forward despite the incident, he soon is wrapped up in the results of the past and new problems in the future, where Peacemaker is forced to use his knowledge, intelligence, and lying capabilities to solve them. However, as fate keeps pressuring him in other directions, should he trust the visions leading him down a certain path, or can he find a way to break free from the chains? Is he able to trust in his new friends, or how far is he willing to continue alone until he cracks? A note from the Author: This is a Wings of Fire alternate universe and takes place after the events of Book 15 by years; none of these characters are mine(besides a few made-up dragons...I guess) and they belong to Tui Sutherland. Additional Note: This story takes place years after, meaning these characters are significantly older than they are currently in the canon. They have not met up in the canon as well. Some romantic relationships appear in the story that you may or may not like, so be warned. If you don't like it, then don't read it. Additionally, some chapters feature artwork, particularly recent ones, and some drawings were created previously, while others were produced more recently. If you don't like the artwork, then I recommend going to Ao3, which is the whole story until the most recent chapter with zero artwork. Now with this in mind, enjoy reading.

"TWO SHALL DIE AND ONE SHALL LEARN." ______________________________________ The dragonets of destiny have given up on the prophecy. But one dragon isn't willing to let the war go on. Hare will do whatever it takes to see the war end and let the continent live in peace. She will give the SandWings a queen, though she's not sure she'd be able to watch her mother die. When Hare realizes that there's no convincing her friends to keep trying, she turns to another group of dragonets to ask them for help. Flame hates the prophecy. He hates his stupid fate and the stupid NightWing that threw him into this mess. When he finds out the prophecy was fake all along, he's more than happy to give up. He wants nothing more than to go home and see his mother, especially after all that's happened. But Hare manages to be convincing enough, and the last thing he wants is to have to live in fear of losing his mother to the war. Both groups of dragonets have lived their entire lives in a lie, but one will end the war and make Pyrrhia the continent it was before. Even though they were thrown into a misshapen destiny, hope has returned. _________________________________________ The "Twisted Skies" AU belongs to AppleCinnamonCandles Wings of Fire belongs to Tui T.
