(Completed) Until Mills and Keel, the sorcerer-vampire bond was solely the stuff of folklore and legend - a whispered myth with one hell of a body count. Now Mills has returned to New York City, to human life, but the bond is reawakening. And someone knows her secret. All her secrets... --- LETTERS FROM NEW YORK is a direct sequel to BLEEDER [Blood Magic, Book 1], so if you're as allergic to spoilers as I am, please consider reading the first novel first. Thanks!

They say one mistake can change your life; I’d never realised how true this was until it applied to me. I live in a world filled with violence, grief and death; a world where one wrong move, one mistake will get me and my family killed. I am the most wanted person in the Werewolf world. Why? I kill for a living, tearing families apart, exterminating whole packs, killing mates, destroying trust and hurting anyone who happens to land on Rieker’s radar. I’ve been in this game for seven hundred years; albeit unwillingly. And over time, I had developed a taste for blood, the feel of sinking a knife into my targets, the smell of their fear; it was all part of the hunt and I could no longer blame Rieker for my sins. Hunting has become as much part of me as being a werewolf. Unfortunately, my time of destruction is coming to a close and the hunter is about to become the hunted. The problem for them is that if I don’t wish to be found; I won't be, at least not until my latest mission proves to be my downfall. It only takes one careful wolf for me to get caught and soon one mistake turns into a world of trouble. One that may end in my demise. *Book one of The Mate Chronicles.* Cover made by IsaSecret.

***This story is Manxman and it is rated R for sexual content! If you are bothered by that then please do not read. I will not tolerate any ignoramous comments about how wrong it is. You have been warned so simply back away slowly or turn and run like hell but do not message me in disgust or complaint if you choose to read and see something you don't want to! **** Will is running from more than just the man who held him prisoner, he is running from the memories, the pain, the knowledge of what he's been made to do and the way he's been used. Running away at night seemed the logical choice until he found himself running straight into a blizzard and realized that he'd die of cold out there alone--but at least he would die free. Turner has all he wants in his sanctuary up in the mountains. His horse, his mule and his trust coonhound, Beaux, are the only company he desires. Three years he'd been alone and tried telling himself that he was content but all that changes the day he finds a dying man in a snow bank. Neither of these men were looking for love but what better way to make fate laugh than to talk about your own plans... and there's just something that happens, some magic in the air, when it's Christmas time, you're fighting attractions and you find yourself snowed in.

“We both know I did what I had to do. You are mine to protect and that’s what I did. I protected you by getting rid of those who had hurt you. I remember you thanking me in your own special way.” His lips turned up in a sneer, turning her stomach. "That was before I came to realize what a monster you really were.” As soon as the words left her mouth, she felt the air leave her lungs and a giant hand was wound around her neck, pressing her against the wall. David bared his long canines at her, snarling and growling loudly. “I am no more a monster than your father is, Cass. You remember that the next time you get in trouble and need someone to bail you out.” He snapped his teeth at her and pulled away, retracting his teeth quickly. “Or the next time you feel like talking at one in the morning. You may have a gun, a badge, and cuffs, but you don’t have a cape. You’re not a superhero, Cass. You’re not invincible. You can still get hurt. You can still die.” “I’ll try to keep that in mind.” She replied, her words coated by sarcasm and defiance. He released her from his grasp and stalked down the hallway, forgoing the elevator for the stairs. Once she was sure he was out of hearing range, Cassidy gasped loudly and reached for her neck, gently placing her fingers on the delicate skin where his hand had just been. She swallowed loudly and felt the slight burn that had taken up residence in her throat. Fuck me, she thought to herself. If these criminals aren’t going to be the end of me, my family surely will be.
