Paulette's life is in shambles. Her sister is dead, her mother is a drunk, and she's been forced to transfer into a chaotic public school full of bullies. After going undercover in a local school to see what's going on, they discover they've run into high-school age Matt Bellamy, a human-timelord hybrid child, cursed with his two hearts, superhuman agility, sparks of almost unlimited intelligence, and the fact that he's being chased down by daleks.
