Rule #1: Never be alone, have someone always with you, no matter where you are. Rule #2: Don't acknowledged their presence or you'll give them the satisfaction of them scaring you. Rule #3: Always, and I mean Always have a crucifix with you no matter where you are. Rule #4: Pray every night, every day, when you eat, and when you sleep. Keep faith. Rule #5: Don't let them get to you. They'll destroy your sanity and everything you believe in. They'll break you down until you're nothing. There wasn't anything setting Evangeline O'Shea differently from someone you notice very briefly on a train to the person buying a carton of milk and a newspaper in front of you at the store. That made moving to Vancouver that much easier. She didn't, however, expect to meet a man like Michael Reeves through an unlikely incident at Simon Fraser University. She didn't expect to fall for such a dark and mysterious man let alone her History lecturer... And when she finds out that this man is in fact no man at all, she wonders if love is worth risking her life over. **First novel in Vampire series**

    Bab 31
I started to try and buck him off but the wolf grabbed my ear between his teeth and growled. I froze and the wolf began to lick my ear carefully. My wolf was suddenly pacing and growling in the back of my mind and I thought she was just as scared as I was. A black paw appeared close to the side of my head and before I could think about the consequences, I bit down sharply on his leg. The wolf yelped and shifted his weight back giving me a split second to buck him off and run. I raced forward and my wolf started howling in my head. I ignored her but she grew louder. A word finally registered. Mate.
