Kaito and Kokichi are rivals from the highschool Hopes Peak Academy for Gifted Juveniles. They loved eachother deeply but never confessed to one another. Kaito has promised Kokichi he would find him someday before killing him. Now that they have been taken out of the virtual reality of the killing game, Kaito will live on to keep his promise and find Kokichi no matter what it takes. Just to be with the boy he loves dearly.
