So now, I was back in the protection of the Brotherhood, back with John Raymond, that guy who apparently forgot about those three words he said to me before disappearing. But was I complaining? Heck no. Because, along with being with him again, I was officially back to being a part of the mission and we were traveling the world yet again, only breaking into the government buildings of the wealthiest nations in the world this time. And, of course, the Knights, that other secret society, were going to try to do anything to stop us just like the last time. They wanted me...wanted my help in getting into the heart of the Brotherhood, which I still didn't want to happen. And I thought my life was going to be boring again. Yeah, whatever.

Once there, Iris finds Erik in a worse state than when she last saw him, while Colton and Vienna. . . well who knows if they'll ever actually get back together. They've got about as many problems as Iris and Erik. Every moment Iris is in France she grows more anxious that Jonas will find out where she is, but when dead bodies start showing up with Expiration Dates tattooed on them, the monarchy forces the Beta to take action, sweeping Iris into a dangerous invasion for Earth amidst the glittering, bewitching lifestyle of the French court. Take a self-conscious slightly chubby female and throw in a cocky man who probably stepped right off the front cover of a magazine, and throw them together to plan a wedding. Things weren't going to be smooth as the icing on the cake. Throw in a stray cat, a potential boyfriend, her ex, a crazy bat shit mother, a pizza delivery, a secret from the past and numerous accidents, these might just be enough for Violet to realise that weight didn't weigh that much when it came to love.
