poems written summer '19 . . . where I experimented with different styles and found a creative side of myself I've never seen before

the poems I never thought would see the light of day. however the growth that's happened since we've parted, gives me comfort in setting these free.

"Obviously you don't understand the agreement." She repeated after quickly composing herself. I rolled my eyes, but let her continue. "Where you go, I go. Where I go, you go." She told me sternly. Her thumbs grazed my cheeks and heat rose on my skin where she touched. I couldn't tell if this was just Sophia being caring or if she was maybe feeling more. My brain told me that this was all a friendly gesture, but my body and it's stupid hormones were telling me that it was something more. And your brain can never really overcome true instincts. I moved closer towards her, shrinking the already limited space between us. This time it was Sophia's turn to blush which only made my smile grow larger. In which a girl can't go a day without an anxiety attack and a boy can't go a day without noticing

Take a self-conscious slightly chubby female and throw in a cocky man who probably stepped right off the front cover of a magazine, and throw them together to plan a wedding. Things weren't going to be smooth as the icing on the cake. Throw in a stray cat, a potential boyfriend, her ex, a crazy bat shit mother, a pizza delivery, a secret from the past and numerous accidents, these might just be enough for Violet to realise that weight didn't weigh that much when it came to love.
