Esterke is an English teenager who doesn't stand out. ...Madame Volange stands at five foot ten, wears crisp white Gibson blouses and long tartan wool skirts, almost never smiles, plays Déjà Vu from Initial D when she hitches a ride on an electric floor cleaner around the school with that utterly plot-irrelevant guy, says "four twenty fifteen" instead of ninety-five, can raise a single eyebrow, and is the driest, most 𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘰𝘮𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤 French teacher Esterke has ever encountered.
