First, the power went out. Second, it was the water. Then, it was the blaring horns that rang throughout the city. The portable radio they used was all static except for the occasional alarming words that no one truly believed because it was April 1st. The warning was there, they had time to make it out, but Seonghwa learned that it was best to listen to his screaming instincts rather than his roommate who told him it was nothing. Because look where his roommate was now. Or: Seonghwa attempts to survive through a zombie apocalypse and meets six loyal men and one cold-hearted and ruthless leader to help keep him company.

"You should eat." Yunho murmurs in between bites. "If you don't, you won't heal. I don't plan on letting you stay here forever, y'know." Mingi blinks down at the plate of meat. "How do I know you haven't poisoned it?" Yunho stops. He stops mid chew on his last bite to stare at the guy. Mingi's not joking. He can't stop the laugh the thought rips out of him. The world had gone quiet when Seonghwa woke from his slumber. Prying himself off the uncomfortable hospital bed, many questions were raging through his mind as he tried to put things into place; what happened? Why was he all alone? He smiles against the slow crawl of red burning his face. "No clean clothes left, I'm afraid. Wooyoung forgot to put them out for the servants to take care of." The lie flows smooth from his lips and he just can't resist the urge to tease when an opportunity like this presents itself. "Would you rather I come undressed?" The adorable pink on Mingi's cheeks is compensation enough for what Wooyoung is putting him through. He's quick to offer a reply regardless. "I wouldn't have minded." OR In which the prince of the Fire Nation is sent to start a war and instead of going about it the normal way, he inconveniences everyone by causing the stupidest "accidents." Meanwhile the youngest councilman of the Air Nomads tries his best to stop him. shenanigans ensue

After the Fire Nations crown prince is exiled and whisked swiftly off his feet, the world falls to ruin as the four nations-once living harmoniously-descend into a restless war, fueled by hatred and greed. In the midst of politics and chaos, love blooms like a flower, poking its budding head from beneath the dirt, despite the blood that taints the soil. this is book 2 and recommended to read after book 1 "Chasing Freedom"
