In the summer of 1918 a tragedy echoed across the world when the Russian Imperial Romanov family was murdered by communists leaving much of the country crying out in mourning. To find out the truth about her family's history, it isn't long before she's digging through old papers, books, photographs, and even travelling to Russia; not to mention getting her heart tangled up with the enemy along the way. As Annalisa finds out more and more, she's quickly discovering that once the real truth is out, her entire life will be turned upside down, and life will become much more dangerous for her, and those around her. Secrets are revealed. Questions are answered. One thing is certain; Annalisa never thought that her senior year would end like this.

The company Jesse works for has more sinister designs for the Fracture technology, and instead of finding a solution to her problem, Jesse finds herself embroiled in the drama and presented with a difficult choice: join DexCorp and their ruthless CEO, or surrender herself and her fractures to an army of Merciless - fractures devoid of morals or pity, extracted to remove anyone that crossed DexCorp's path as painfully as possible... Hiding until the time is right to strike is her best option, but her fractures aren't making it easy. If she wants to survive, Jesse's going to have to learn to live with herself.

Brandy has been friends with Blake for most of her life and even after incidents in school that leave most people wanting nothing to do with him, she finds herself still falling for him. Now they are in High School and on the swim team together and Brandy feels even more drawn to Blake than before, along with half of the girls in the school. One day at swim practice, Blake has a debilitating accident and won't be able to swim for a while. This brings the two of them together again, in more ways than just friendship.

Or give in to the golden boys alluring ways? That was Skylar's choice. When she was forced to go live with 'family friends' while her parents had to bring her younger sister to a specialist hospital for immediate help. As well as dealing with, learning to live with complete strangers, the constant nagging worry about her sister, she also has to learn to deal with Mr. Almost Perfect and his 'posse' *cough* stalkers *cough* There will be some thrills, spills and possibly some love along the way...ohh and a whole lot of crazy!
