The Gods aren't happy with how things are going with the House of the Dragon, so they send Rhaenyra a few dreams to make her realize the danger she is in. Rhaenyra realizes how horrible of a sister she has been and decides to change things. She will be smarter when playing the Game of Thrones and show her uncle that while she loves him she isn't someone to play with. There, they would choose which one will inherit the Iron Throne: the Princess Rhaenys, daughter of Prince Aemon and Lady Jocelyn Baratheon, or Prince Viserys, son of Prince Baelon and his sister-wife, Princess Alyssa. Through a vote the realm decided Viserys would be named Prince of Dragonstone. No woman would sit on the Iron Throne. Yet, the now King Viserys I Targaryen appointed his daughter, Rhaenyra Targaryen as his heir. The Seven Kingdoms had already rejected a woman, they would do it again. When the King remarried, his wife gave him a son, his council advised him to name him heir but he never did. The King didn't know then he would lead his realm to a war remembered as the Dance of Dragons.
