Hello again my friends, and welcome to my latest long-format story. This one is gonna be a bit different. It is very very VERY AU, so just go with it as it's set in a fictional world and time. It hopefully goes without saying that this is 1000% fiction and anything here about real people is just a story and doesn't necessarily represent them or even my opinion of them. Cool? Okay. Credit for that insane book cover goes to the incredibly talented @Eliak22. I gave her one pic and half of an idea and she completely nailed it. My plan is to showcase her and other artists throughout the story, so be on the lookout for that. I expect this will be a fair bit smuttier than my other long stories, for those of your thirsty folk. Avi is one of the most powerful leaders of the White Dragons, a rebel group dedicated to fighting the power of a tyrannical government that bans homosexuality and self-expression. Mitch is just an anxious theater nerd trying to make it through his last two years of high school unscathed -- all while dealing with an unrequited love for his best friend, Scott. When they cross paths, they realize that they were the missing piece to each other's puzzles.

Mitch just wanted a cup of coffee. Instead, he meets Avi -- an overly analytical and intelligent man that refuses to give Mitch his phone number until he beats him in a game of chess. That would be simple enough, if the man didn't have an IQ of 140, and Mitch had the faintest clue as to how to play chess.

Love is hard to find. That is true, especially if you're singing in a sucessful, Grammy-winning acapella group.
