My eyes were literally glowing, there was no mistaking it. It was not a reflection of light, or any of the other excuses I had used or others had assumed. They were glowing a light sapphire blue color. It was not a bright glow, but it was definitely a glow. Glowing eyes were not normal. Okay, at this point I had to admit it, I was no longer normal. Aine is on her way to a nursing home placement when her granddaughter gives her a toy goblin, but SETI has other ideas. "I don't want to go." I sat beside my daughter, who had the most miserable expression I'd seen on her in 19 years of life. She held a backpack with woefully little room for 65 years of my collection. Outside the window of the bus, I watched old mansions of Inman Park with their dead trees and bushes. I guess that's me, now. "Granny, I don't want you to go, either." Luna, my 4 year-old granddaughter, hugged me with her smelly goblin toy my daughter's sorry ex gave her for her birthday last week.

They all froze and looked at the camera. "Danger Service!" We are brave, we are bold We do what we are told And sometimes we are sold into slavery! Several of them were dragged offscreen, some by their feet. But we work really hard To think of things that people need And we write them in provisions For all the Seven's traders So that everybody eats! Satire of Diplomatic Service, from Dannis Cole's fiction universe. Coming soon to YouTube...uh, when I learn Unreal Engine 5. At this rate, it might just be Unreal Engine 22 by the time I get anything done...for now, here are episodes from random, unpublished stories. The picture is Diplomat Dashing, an Elshar diplomat, saying, "Oh, no! Am I missing a pin? Habis maif!" His sash is purple because he doesn't know how to prog his clothing former. Advisors in Sigan Mas, a school that's a galaxy, stay up late at night to figure out errors the producers of Danger Service can stick in an episode for diplomatic students to find. For example, barren Elshar Mashai, capital world of the Alliance, is a treeless, sandy world but for a tiny region of farms. Episodes will show Georgia red mud, rain, and pine trees. Or items made of wood, which is very rare on Elshar worlds!
