Vico Gentile failed to pass his school year once again. This time, instead of failing math or Italian, it's English. Distracted by his hobbies and his long-time crush on the most charismatic boy in school, Vico's destiny was always going to be this: being left behind by his classmates. The fourth year of high school is supposed to be the last summer before becoming adults, before the dreaded fifth year, before the infamous Matura exams. So, to honor this rite of passage, the class president invites everyone from the fourth year to join him on a 14-day vacation on the beaches of Liguria, Italy. Although Vico hoped to spend this precious time having fun with his friends, he is forced to stay home and study for the September exams, an exam that will determine if he will get to pass his fourth year and graduate with his classmates. He couldn't possibly agree to this vacation; it wouldn't be wise.
