Y/n works as a bartender at a local bar. Her best friend, Roxanne, introduces the guys of Metallica to her and one boy catches Y/n's eye.

Aspiring Guitarist Y/N Y/L/N is met with the Exodus Guitar player Kirk Hammett after being dragged by her friends to go see them play. An exchange of words leads to Y/N and Kirk forming a strong bond. When Kirk goes to audition for the Bay City Band Metallica, Y/N decides to tag along.
