Beginning right after the latest Keepers book Unlocked, Sophie returns home to Find Grady suspiciously sad, but never in her mind could she have imagined why, finally she goes up stairs and reads Keefe's (heartbreaking) letter. Will she go after him or honor his wishes? Spoilers if you haven't read Unlocked. But if you're like me and aching to read the next book I hope this fanfic will help you with the wait. Marella has always been a gossip, and knows about everyone else's relationships. She's never believed in cliches, and opposites attract is one of the worst tropes ever. But of course she falls for Linh. Because, duh. Like she has a chance... Linh spent so many years at Ellixium with no one but her brother Tam for company, and it's nice to have friends again. But she has to admit that friends isn't quite good enough when it comes to Marella Redek. Not that Marella would ever feel the same... Basically Marella is a disaster lesbian, Biana bursts everyone's eardrums with her squealing, and there is far too much angst. Cause I'm evil. NB: None of these characters are mine, they were created by Shannon Messanger. I just made them gay because THEY NEEDED TO BE. I collabed on this work with @cbcactus.

Rex didn't get an ability with the others. Before he knows it, everyone thinks he's talentless. It certainly doesn't help that his older brother isn't able to look at him. Lex was mad at his brother, Rex. Now he's stuck being the meditator Bex is conflicted. Her family is falling apart faster than she can glue the pieces back together, and her emotions are getting in the way of being the peacemaker. Dex is crumbling under the pressure of knowing that Rex is talentless, and he's drifting farther and farther away. Kesler is worried for Dex and Rex. He knows something is going on in between them, and can't even begin to fix it. Juline isn't ever home anymore. She drifted farther and farther away from her family, and only realized it too late.
