Portsef realizes that he's been poisoned after a job gone wrong. As the poison begins to take effect, he flees from the city guards into the slums, where he meets someone familiar. A Story Stub for a world where magic tends to work indirectly, industrial societies rule the earth, and the greatest heroes can be found in thieves' guilds and other dark corners.
