Meanwhile, Jinx, scarred by her past, finds a fragile sense of belonging among Kalstead's rebellious youth, rediscovering the idea of family and fleeting happiness. Both Ekko and Jinx become entangled in Kalstead's rebellion, a fight far more dangerous than either anticipated. As Ekko begins to see Powder in Jinx's fractured persona, their paths converge in a battle against mounting threats. Surprised at the sudden contact, the desperation in her voice, and the fact that he had no context as to what had just happened, he wasn't sure what to do- so for a second, she clung onto him, shoulders shaking as she cried.
