Princess Y/n is the cousin of Princess Allura and also the previous paladin of the red lion. After woken up from a ten thousand year slumber, Y/n, Allura and Coran find that the lions have found new paladins to pilot them. Not wanting to repeat history nor put any one else in danger like in the past, she keeps her princess and paladin self hidden, leaving only Allura and Coran to know her true title. Keith, Shiro, Lance, Hunk and Pidge all came to Arus from Earth by the blue lion. After awakening Y/n, Allura and Coran, they all became the new paladins for Voltron. Keith has always been suspicious of Y/n since the moment he has met her. Throughout the battles and trainings, he has always given Y/n a hard time since she has some unanswered mysterious around her.
