Usually, people Carol's age are getting married, buying their first house, getting their first pet, etc. Her younger sister's doing all that. Good for her right? And she's doing it with Carol's ex. It has been a year since they broke up and he has been with her sister ever since and well, I'm sure you can guess the tea for that one. But it's Christmas time so 'tis the season to be jolly. She'll be seeing her two favorite people at the family reunion. Where she has promised everyone that she has happily moved on, and has someone to introduce to the family... except- she doesn't. During a trip to the grocery store, she bumps into one of the finest men she saw, which wasn't through her phone screen. So, obviously her first reaction was to ask him to be her plus one for the family reunion and to pretend that they're a couple. He Agrees! On the condition that she'll help him become Santa Claus? Weird but she agrees to do exactly that. Nick keeps claiming that he's Santa Claus's Son and that there's this whole Christmas wonderland where people compete to be Santa...she just goes with it. I mean his good looks had to come with a sacrifice right? Little did she know what she had signed up for...

A story of love against legacy, of desire against duty, Choi Min-jun and Matthew Genevieve is a sweeping tale of two powerful heirs learning that the hardest fight isn't for glory or wealth- ...it's for each other. Choi Min-jun, South Korea's golden boy swimmer and heir to a fortune that could buy silence from the world, has built his life around discipline, success, and the unshakable weight of his family's expectations. Genevieve Matthew, Berlin's rising art star and the daughter of a dynasty with secrets of its own, has fought to carve her own path outside of her family's shadow. When their worlds collide, attraction turns into something far more dangerous: devotion. But love between them is not simple. Their families see scandal. Their peers see rivalry. And behind closed doors, old grudges and powerful enemies gather, determined to tear them apart. For every tender moment they steal, there are whispered threats, disapproving stares, and betrayals that cut deeper than either of them imagined. Min-jun would burn the world before letting anyone harm her. Genevieve must decide if she's ready to face that fire with him-or be consumed by it.

When privilege meets passion, sparks ignite in ways neither expected. Choi Min-Jun, heir to one of Korea's most powerful chaebol conglomerates, has been groomed all his life to embody perfection-discipline in the boardroom, dominance in the pool. A professional swimmer with a razor-sharp confidence, he's used to commanding every room he enters, every headline that bears his name, and every heart that dares to fall for him. Matthews Genevieve, by contrast, prefers to stay behind the canvas rather than in the spotlight. Born into a very politically strong Namibian family, she carries her heritage with quiet pride. Her true world is filled with sketches, colors, and ideas that words often fail to capture. Navigating her world with grace rather than arrogance. When the two meet under the glittering chandeliers neither is impressed. To Min-Jun, Genevieve's quiet reserve feels like disdain. To Genevieve, Min-Jun's arrogance is insufferable. Every encounter between them seems destined to end in sharp words and colder stares. And yet, inexplicably, fate keeps tangling their paths together-until what once was irritation begins to feel like something far more dangerous. Beneath the tension lies a magnetic pull neither can deny, forcing them to confront not just their clashing personalities, but the expectations of the powerful worlds they were born into. In a story of wealth, pride, and vulnerability, they will discover that sometimes the person you can't stand is the very one you can't live without.

"He was a smoker. She asked him why. He said it was his slow suicide." - REVIEWS: "Slow Suicide is one of the best books that I've read. A beautiful story of two strangers that befriend each other and it soon became love. Shows that you can brighten someone's day with just a simple greeting or maybe getting to know them. Cig and Rainy are a beautiful pair that brings light into the darkness and turns night into day with their love story." -@Kaybae1212 "A touching story of true love told through small, sweet encounters. So many twists and turns that you will never see coming. A beautiful and safe love story overall that will leave you in tears! (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)" -@Squirtle301 "Slow Suicide will make your emotions spin like the twists and turns of this story. Each chapter will make you wonder what will happen next. As a person who's not a fan of reading romance, this was definitely out of this world like no other. Filled with despair, romance, heartbreak, and twists, you would be questioning life even more. This is truly a must read. The author has truly captured my attention throughout the entire story, as every chapter is like a beautiful structure built in with the words that help me envision what love can evolve in." -@Hope-Mist - Book 1 in the "Pure Love Tales" series. Highest rank: #8 in Short Story.

The novel depicts the plight of the French peasantry demoralized by the French aristocracy in the years leading up to the revolution, the corresponding brutality demonstrated by the revolutionaries toward the former aristocrats in the early years of the revolution, and many unflattering social parallels with life in London during the same time period. It follows the lives of several protagonists through these events. The most notable are Charles Darnay and Sydney Carton. Darnay is a former French aristocrat who falls victim to the indiscriminate wrath of the revolution despite his virtuous nature, and Carton is a dissipated English barrister who endeavors to redeem his ill-spent life out of his unrequited love for Darnay's wife.
